MacUpdate Bundle, only $49.99

The links above are affiliate links and give about $3 back to this blog if you purchase through them.  For seminary students who use Macs I cannot recommend this deal highly enough. Now I don’t expect most students to ditch MS Word in favor of Mellel, but for academic papers Mellel comes highly recommended.  Regardless, Bookends is worth the price of the bundle and works with either word processor, to help manage your citations and save you hours of time.  MacJournal is also a great piece of software, and I have no doubt that LightZone will be unlocked, which is a great photo application.  Norrkross Movie is a good video editor between iMovie and Final Cut.

Think of it this way.  Buy one program, get nine free!  Check it out!

Today is the Day…

That Logos/Libronix finally made it onto the Mac for public use!  If you’re willing and excited like many of us, then head over to the website to download the Alpha version of the software.  You’ll need an existing account in order to import your licenses and install the files.

Now go get it!  See it in action here.

FAQ

Q: I am not currently a Libronix user. Can I be a beta tester?

A: While you are free to download Libronix for the Mac, we are not currently providing any temporary unlocks for books. Beta testers will have access only to the books that they currently have unlocked in their license file.

Q: How do I download it?

A: Click the Download the Alpha icon at the top of the page to download the .dmg file. Libronix for the Mac will install like a normal Mac application.

Well, this year’s MacHeist events have concluded.  Now that the “heists” are over, the bundle of mac applications is available, and I have no doubt that all of them will be unlocked.  That means you can get 1password, CoverSutra, Cha-Ching, iStopMotion, Awaken, AppZapper, TaskPaper, CSSEdit, Snapz Pro X, and Pixelmator for a low $49.

1password $29.95
CoverSutra $22.00
Cha-Ching $40.00
iStopMotion $49.00
Awaken $12.95
AppZapper $12.95
TaskPaper $18.95
CSSEdit $29.95
Snapz Pro X $69.00
Pixelmator $59.00

Check out the list to the right for the retail cost of these apps, and to see detailed descriptions all in one place check out the Macheist website.  In my opinion, the bundle is worth it simple for Snapz Pro X or Pixelmator alone.  In any case, the deal is even sweeter because there are discounts for ordering multiple bundles.  Order three and receive 1/3 off of the price, (aka buy two, get one free).  And, if there is a program that you don’t need or want (perhaps already own), you can “gift it” and have it registered to someone else.

That being said, the offer is available for two more weeks, and so will end on Jan 23.  Anyone want to go in with me and split the cost?  The total cost per bundle will be a mere $33.

As a little bonus, there is one last free-offer still available.  You can get DevonNote, Hana, and Billy Frontier by registering at the Macheist website here, and then clicking here, moving the man-with-apple painting, and clicking on the secret stash behind it.

Thanks to those people who put on the fun and generous event.  As a side note, 25% of the money they receive goes straight to a charity of your choice: (more…)
