It never fails. Whenever I’m taking notes or working on something, inevitably I have to squeeze my power to make it last. After figuring out all the little things I can do, I found an article which says the exact same:
- Throttle the processor. On a macbook this means System Preferences » Energy Saver » Settings for » Battery and Optimization > Better Battery Life or just change it in the menubar.
- Turn off unused programs, extraneous widgets, iTunes, QuickSilver and all the stuff you have running in the dock. On a macbook you can see if you have any hidden applications running in the background via Applications » Utilities » Activity Monitor.
- Turn off the wireless and bluetooth. Unplug peripherals that draw power.
- Invert the screen’s colors. Press Control + Option + Apple + 8 or use Nocturne.
