Let me take this as an opportunity to note, though, that while the preaching may be sound we have to be careful about redefining terms and throwing them around as if everybody understands them. As we can tell by our very rudimentary understanding of Koine Greek, or even KJV English, the further we are removed from the time the easier the nuances drop off. I wonder if future generations will be negatively impacted and confused by our association of hedonism with Christianity, considering the very negative moral implications. Sooner or later I had to say it – let’s not jump on the bandwagon for every popular evangelical phrase or term, nor be provocative for its own sake, but clear.
